TERMS OF SERVICE Uhauz LLC Appliance Repair Services • San Diego, California Licensed • Insured • BHGS Registered Version 3.1 • Effective May 2026 • Last Updated: July 18, 2026

1. ESTIMATE & AUTHORIZATION TO PERFORM WORK

Per California Business & Professions Code §§ 9884.8 and 9884.9, a written estimate shall be provided before any repair work begins, and a written invoice itemizing all work performed and parts supplied (noting whether parts are new, used, rebuilt, or reconditioned) shall be provided upon completion. By signing the estimate on the front of this invoice, you authorize us to perform the described work at the quoted price.

Service Call / Diagnostic Fee

The diagnostic / service call fee was disclosed to the Customer at the time of scheduling, and Customer acknowledges receipt of that disclosure.
This fee is charged for dispatch and on-site diagnosis. It is non-refundable, except as required by Section 11 (Three-Day Right to Cancel) or by applicable law.
If the estimate is accepted within 30 days, the diagnostic fee will be applied toward the total repair cost.
If the estimate is declined, only the diagnostic fee is due.

Estimate Acceptance

The service dealer may not charge for work or parts beyond the written estimate without prior customer consent.
If additional issues are discovered during repair that increase the cost by more than $100 or 10% of the original estimate (whichever is less), we will contact you for authorization before proceeding.
Verbal authorizations will be followed up in writing (email or text) for your records.
Upon completion, an itemized invoice will identify all parts as new, used, rebuilt, or reconditioned, in accordance with §9884.8.

2. SCOPE OF WORK LIMITATION

Our repair is limited solely to the fault(s) described on the front of this invoice. Pre-existing conditions, unrelated malfunctions, or issues discovered after completion of the authorized repair are not covered under this service order.

We are not responsible for diagnosing or repairing issues not listed in the Technician’s Report.
If the appliance has additional faults not identified during this visit, a new service order and estimate will be required.
Our diagnosis is a general assessment. A detailed itemized diagnosis is available for an additional fee.

3. PARTS & MATERIALS

All parts installed by our technicians are either Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or quality aftermarket equivalents. The part type (OEM, aftermarket, used, rebuilt, or reconditioned) will be noted on the invoice as required by California Business & Professions Code §9884.8.

We do not warrant or guarantee parts not supplied or installed by us.
Parts are subject to availability. In the case of special-order or non-stock parts, lead times may vary.
The customer has the right to receive all replaced parts upon request. If you do not wish to retain the replaced parts, please note this on the invoice at the time of service.

Sales Tax & Itemization

Parts and labor will be itemized separately on the invoice.
Sales tax will be applied to all parts and materials in accordance with CDTFA regulations. Labor charges are not subject to sales tax.

4. WARRANTY

ℹ️ 90-Day Limited Warranty — Unless otherwise stated in writing, we provide two separate, limited express warranties: (a) a Parts Warranty covering parts supplied and installed by our technicians for ninety (90) days from the date of service against defects in the part itself or in our installation; and (b) a Workmanship Warranty covering the labor we performed for ninety (90) days from the date of service against defective workmanship in the specific repair described on the invoice. Both warranties apply only under normal household, non-commercial use.

DISCLAIMER OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY CALIFORNIA AND FEDERAL LAW, INCLUDING THE SONG-BEVERLY CONSUMER WARRANTY ACT (CAL. CIV. CODE §§ 1790 ET SEQ.) AND THE CALIFORNIA COMMERCIAL CODE § 2316, ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES — INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE — ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE NINETY (90) DAY EXPRESS-WARRANTY PERIOD ABOVE.

Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. §§ 2301 et seq.). The Parts Warranty above is a written warranty on consumer products and is therefore subject to the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, where applicable.

Warranty Exclusions:

Refrigerant charges and refrigerant-related components
Parts not supplied or installed by our company
Damage caused by misuse, abuse, neglect, unauthorized repairs, power surges, floods, fire, or acts of God
Consumable parts (filters, belts, light bulbs, etc.) subject to normal wear
Issues unrelated to the original repair described on this invoice
Appliances used in commercial, rental, short-term-rental (e.g., Airbnb/VRBO), or any non-residential setting

To make a warranty claim, contact our office within the warranty period. Warranty service requires the same appliance, at the same address, for the same issue described on this invoice.
